Califont Installation

Oh no! Your instantaneous water heater has stopped working. Now you need a like-for-like new califont installation.

These are the steps required when we install a new califont.

  1. Find out the make and model of your existing califont. This will be stamped on a plate or printed/written on a decal on the unit.

  2. Find out which gas type you currently use: LPG or natural gas.

  3. Order the califont with the correct gas type and specifications.

  4. Once the unit has arrived, a gas test must be performed to ensure there is no existing leak within the whole of the current system.

  5. Remove the old califont and install the new califont.

  6. Perform a gas test to ensure the tightness of the new installation.

  7. Commission (i.e. bring online) the new califont and test it.

  8. Issue the gas safety certificate and certificate of compliance within 20 working days.
